Black Powder Cannon Pictures

While in Bangkok Thailand, I took some pictures of the black powder cannon that where in front of Thai ministry of defense government building. This was across the street from the Royal Grand Palace. If you are ever in Bangkok and you are site seeing, you will not be able to miss these.

This black powder cannon is very large.

This is a smaller deck type black powder cannon. I think that all of the deck type cannons here, where from beech protection sites. They are very big to have been on any ship. But I could be wrong about this.

Here is a field artillery type black powder cannon. This is about the same size as one of our cannons used during the our Civil War. But as you can see, the carriage is made different than how our field type cannons were made. This cannon has 2 main beams, were ours only had one.

Here is a picture of an other field type cannon.

I did not count the cannons that where in front of the building, but there had to be at least 20 of them. If memory serves me right, I think that all of them had bronze type barrels also. They all had the same color to them as you see here in the pictures.
